In a description of the expo, California governator, Arnold Schwarznegger says "California's environmental policies are driving a whole new industrial
revolution in our state that is opening up huge opportunities for California
companies to grow and strengthening our economy at a time when it could
use the help. The Green Tech Expo will be a showcase for their
creativity and innovation - it's not to be missed."
There are 6.3 Million students and 370,000 teachers in California the most populous state; this is why the state is swiftly enacting policies on the forefront of green standards. The conference is for anyone associated with the increased effort to make California schools more sustainable, the events first year 2007 was a great success and future expo' are planned.
The Greenbuild Conference scheduled for Phoenix, Arizona brings together all the people associated with project planning and building construction including but not limited to: Architects, Contractors, Engineers, Home Builders, Code Officials, Green power providers etc. The business casual conference will feature 100 educational sessions including renowned speakers from LEED, Desmond Tutu, Bill Clinton, and David Suzuki.
